X-Files Complete Collector’s Edition
Hi Sam!
I noticed your site has been on top of news surrounding the new X-Files movie and I was wondering if you knew about the X-Files Complete Collector’s Edition. Basically Fox is releasing the entire series — all nine seasons — plus the movie in one huge DVD box set, and we’d love to get your honest review of the series. The set is pretty massive, with a whopping 61 DVDs, documentaries on each season, deleted scenes and behind-the-scenes featurettes, so I think your readers would love to know what you think about it.
Here’s a synopsis from the press release:
Relive FBI Agent Fox Mulder’s (David Duchovny) desperate search for the truth after witnessing the alien abduction of his sister when he was a young boy. Follow Agent Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) as she and Mulder encounter growing proof of the existence of extraterrestrials and an undeniable government conspiracy to cover up that truth. OK gang. Tell us what you think of this new release for all the X-Files 9-years worth of episodes and the movie compete in one cool package. And, I will follow all this up with my own Slice of SciFi Review sometime down the road once I have had a chance to catch it all myself. Stay Tuned!
What do I think? I think I’m fresh out of excuses to not have watched the series through.

Well, I s’pose my near-permanent state of brokeness could also be contributing.
What is that case?!! I’ve seen the box with all the seasons in it but I’ve never seen this briefcase!
I’m a HUGE X-Files fan and I think this new boxset is great but I will more than likely not get it because I have all the seasons and movie on DVD. BUT if it comes in that cool briefcase shown above I might have to think twice. That would be something cool to put into my collection.
As an addendum to my previous post, I think for those who don’t have this series on DVD yet or are not sure if they want to pay $200+ for it I think it’s is a great set for the amount because if I add up what I payed for all my sets ($70-$90 each when they were initially released) I’ve spent well over $1000 for my DVD’s! So when you think about it, this is a great deal!
For fans who already have the seasons on DVD this isn’t anything new because they are the same features on the original sets. Fans will probably get this set for the mere purpose of appeasing their obsessive compulsive completest needs.
