Smelling the Daisies

The new ABC hit show “Pushing Daisies,” despite its spiraling production costs, will get a full season of episodes as the network has just announced it has picked up the show’s final nine programs.
When I first saw an early viewing of this show I was not as impressed as many of the other critics who also saw it (see my pilot episode review), but since then I have stuck with it and it has grown on me to where I really look forward to revisiting its quirky characters and different style of presentation each week.
Now that it has been renewed for a full season and will run through spring 2008, fans can relax and just enjoy the show without wondering if it will be cut in mid-stream.
“Pushing Daisies” airs every Wednesday night at 8PM ET on ABC and stars Lee Pace, Anna Friel, Chi McBride, Ellen Greene, Swoosie Kurtz and Kristin Chenoweth. The narrations by Jim Dale are one of the best parts of this new show.
Another show I like that has been extended is the new Christina Applegate program “Samantha Who.”
