The story centers on a detective who travels the world in pursuit of serial killers. He finds himself in Memphis hunting two murderers while also chasing his own demons. The indie project starts shooting this week in and around Vancouver.

Seagal’s last theatrical feature was 2002′s “Half Past Dead.”

have you ever noticed that he has the exact same pose and lighting on every single DVD cover?

  2. Thomas says:

Because when I think of two cities that couldn't look more alike I always think of Vancouver and Memphis.

  3. Dave from OZ says:

Sorry to burst your bubble Sam, but Seagal has made 17 direct-to-video movies since Half Past Dead.

Also, where does the sci-fi part come in?

  4. Mr Wall says:

    Dave from OZ -

I'm not seeing anything implying this to be Seagals first straight to DVD release.

  5. Greg says:

True, though Dave does have a point in regard to where the SciFi angle is in this though.

Unless worn out c-Grade actors starring in rubbish is a new SciFi genre nowdays. :)

Did I just describe SciFi Saturday?

  6. Dave from OZ says:

Upon reflection, it would appear Sam has quoted the Hollywood Reporter story. Sorry Sam!

I still don't see where the sci-fi connection is.

I wonder if Sam is a Steven Seagal fan? Come on Sam, admit it, we'll still respect you in the morning.

You seem to forget that Slice of SciFi covers not only sci-fi, but also horror, the supernatural, ghost stories, fantasy, fables, myths, legends, real science news, spy-fantasy, some action flicks if they are somewhat genre-related, such as vigilante movies and mysteries that border on the bizarre.

As far as Steven Segal goes -- he is reportable here at Slice because his acting skills are a total mystery and it is pure fantasy to think would still be able to drop kick --

    Oh, yeah - I'm a closest fan too :) Gotcha! ;)

  8. Dave from OZ says:

Your a closest fan? I'm just a closet fan.

  9. Dominik says:

    Hey guys

Steven made a lot of really bad bad movies in the last couple of years. But please, give "Urban Justice" a chance - it's really really worth to buy or at least watch.

    Kind regards,
    Dominik
