Goodman - A Perfect Choice

August 29, 2007 by Sam Sloan   || Category: Film

john_goodman.jpgJohn Goodman has been cast as Paul Bunyan in the computer-animated family adventure “Bunyan & Babe” opposite comedian Eddie Griffin, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Goodman isn’t new to voice work, he has worked on such animated films as “Monsters Inc.” and “Cars,” as well as the upcoming Jerry Seinfeld film “Bee Movie,” which is due out in November of this year.

For this tale, Paul Bunyan teams up with two kids to rescue his longtime buddy, Babe the Blue Ox, voiced by Griffin. It seems Babe has fallen into the evil clutches of a demented circus owner.

“Bunyan and Babe” will be helmed by three time Academy Award winner Jim Rygiel (”Lord of the Rings” trilogy).

John Goodman is perfect casting for this kind of role and it would have been great to see him in a live-action Paul Bunyan movie.
