addis.jpgKeith Addis has a resume that would be the envy of any sci-fi geek. He has participated in some of the most highly watched programs in television and film. His choices for shows runs the gamut of entertaining venues. Here is just a small sampling of this talented producer’s work:

    Executive Producer –

  • Masters of Science Fiction
  • Masters of Horror
  • Pittsburgh - (starring Jeff Goldblum & Ed Begley Jr).
  • The Bride
  • Threat Matrix
  • Hope and Faith
  • War Stories
  • Haunted
  • Gotham
    Producer –

  • 15 Minutes
  • Antitrust
  • The New Age
  • Tesla
  • Alice In Wonderland

Way back in 1976 Keith cut his cinematic teeth working on a little film you may slightly remember, “Taxi Driver,” starring Robert De Niro, Peter Boyle and Jodie Foster. Keith worked as an assistant to the producers, learning the ropes from them and wrote the lyrics to one of the songs used in that Academy Award winning classic film that put Bobby De Niro’s career on the forever upward road of success.

Keith will talk with us about his work with the Masters series and his upcoming project with the SCI FI Channel that we are all getting pretty excited about called “Dragon Steel.”

In the News we find that Harry Potter creator, J.K. Rowling is going in an entirely new direction and genre for her next novel. What is the significance of the title “01-18-08″? — we tell you. And, Aniboom is an online animation force to be reckoned with.

October is just two months away and we all know what that means….yes, little goblins and monsters ringing your doorbell for some sweet treats. We look at two horror films geared for the season in our Movie Talk segment.

Trivia Doug, GameCube Paul and all the MoviePulse review crew are on a short hiatus so there is no Special Segment for this week’s show. However, the timeslot is filled quite nicely with a special promo warning of a certain syndrome only suffered by certain members of the scifi geek community.

We have some new television casting news for fans of NBC’s “Heroes” and ABC’s “Lost.” Also, genre fans will be happy to know that at next month’s Emmy Awards presentation, hosted by Ryan Secrest, sci-fi will be well represented with 30+ Emmy nominations in several important categories, including best drama.

The news we have coming down from the future was so snarky that even Mike was about ready to turn off the studio lights and head for home. Find out why these two future flicks that are discussed made him want to loose his lunch. Here’s two tiny clues — Uwe and Footloose!

Be sure to join Mike, Summer, Brian and Tim with all the latest news from Sam and his news team, and our interview with the wonderful Keith Addis on the next Slice of SciFi show #123, ready for download this Saturday, August 25, 2007. We can also be heard on XM-Satellite Radio and for our fans in the Napa Valley, on KVON-FM on your radio dial.
