NBC Universal Television Studio has signed the last of its principal cast members of the hit daytime drama “Passions” to new contracts, ensuring that they will continue with the soap when it makes the move from NBC to The 101 on DIRECTV on September 17, 2007. The show’s last NBC network airing will be on September 7.
Those continuing with the series include: Eric Martsolf (Ethan), Ben Masters (Julian), Kim Johnston Ulrich (Ivy), Dylan Fergus (Noah), Galen Gering (Luis), Emily Harper (Fancy), Lindsay Hartley (Theresa), Liza Huber (Gwen), James Hyde (Sam), Juliet Mills (Tabitha), Heidi Mueller (Kay), Tracey Ross (Eve), Eva Tamargo (Pilar), McKenzie Westmore (“Sheridan”) and Erin Cardillo (Esme).
“We are thrilled that the principal cast members will continue on the show,” said Annamarie Kostura, VP Daytime, NBC Universal. “It is important that the fans know that the show will still be the same after the move.”

Based on the rich history, forbidden witchcraft, magic and mystery of the harbor community of Harmony, “Passions” explores the lives, loves and losses of four core families: the Cranes, the Lopez-Fitzgeralds, the Bennetts and the Russells, each of whom have their own distinct and diverse challenges and desires.
Please put online episodes of passions because I am very upset that NBC does not have Passions anymore and I have cable and it should be on Soapnet or online episodes for like $5.00 a month. I will miss passions since I will not have directtv. I am upset about this and please put passions online.
What kinda crazy deal is this?? I have loved Passion from the beginning and now you are going to Direct TV. This pisses me off as most of us old people can only afford cable without all the extras.

Okay I don't think this is fair neither. I have watched passions for a long time and I will not switch my dish network mainly because I am on an 18 month contract and I thought Satellite was Satellite and I have only had dish for 1 month. I pay 57.99 w/locals for me to switch to Direct tv and get what I get now I have to pay 99.99 not happening sorry. I hope that Passions comes out on DVD but if not oh well. This is very sad and I am so mad, for them to betray their fans for the money.

I think they should continue showing passion on nbc. I love passion and now i can't get to see it becuz they stop showin it on nbc, i love passion so much i even set my vcr to record it when i'm at work so when i get home i could watch it. I'm so pissed that they move it and i don't y they would do something so stupid
Hi, I live in Canada and I do not get DirectTV here. I know when Passions was on NBC I was able to watch it on NBC and Global. However I have not heard of a Canadian carrier that has it.... if you can let me know how I can watch it, it would be greatly apprieciated!!!
I CANNOT believe they did this!!! VERY BAD decision by NBC. Who in the heck wants to watch 4 friggen hours of the Today Show UUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGHHHHHH NOT ME!!!! Now theres talk on some of the nbc sites of canceling Days of Our Lives in 2009! STUPID!!!! To rub salt in the wound they replace our Passions with Jail Bird Martha? UGH! What horrible decsions, so dissapointing.
I do not have Direct TV and I will miss Passions. Sometimes I am not home so I bought a radio that I could pick up the tv station so I could listen to it in the car.
I have watched this show from day one and I think this will be a big mistake.
I have been a passions fan from the beginning... I don't uderstand why they are moving to direct tv... Direct tv is horrible in my area so I guess I will not be ablet to watch this show anymore... I'm not going to let these big companies dictate who I use for my tv service... I'll just have to switch back to channel 6 soaps!
Will i still be able to look at Passions on Dish Network???? I hope so because i really love the episodes...... I hope it wont be a disappointment
Personally, I think that the Ellen Degenaris (sp?) should be cncelled and NBC should put "Passions" back. Ellen is a mistake to the TV world. She says something and the prompts tell people to laugh.
I haved loved watching Passions since the begining. I find it very sad that it is moving only to Direct TV! I have heard recently that Dish Network is currently in the process of buying out Direct TV. If this is true, then the show should be able to air on both Dish Net and Direct TV. Does anyone know if this is true? It would be nice if it could air on the Soap Net also. If not, I will miss it, I will not switch over to anything else just for one show.
I too have watched passions from day one. It's the type of show that draws you in. I have direct tv, but am not completely satisfied with it. A little wind or rain and it is over for a while. Plus, they have no promotions for the faithful customers that's been there for a while. I will hold on to direct tv for a while longer just to see passions. Timmy was my favorite. Theresa is my favorite now, and if she leaves, then I guess I will quit watching.(smile)
I think this is a very bad move for NBC. Not everyone can pick up and move to direct TV. I have been watching it from the moment it started and now I can not. Awsome move NBC awsome.....
I also wish that ya'll would make a dvd of passions, I just started watching 2 years ago and I would love to see if from the begining. I have also missed alot of shows.

I am very disappointed that NBC is no longer airing passions. I have been a passions fan for along time and can no longer watch it. Please somebody out there bring passions back to cable tv so everyone can watch.
i was highly upset when they took passions off nbc. it is my favorite show of all and am highly devastated i cant watch it, i too live in a complex where we we are not able to get direct tv. nbc made a huge mistake and i say we should all boycott them. i have to find a way to watch it, cant go without it!
I am so upset about this move to DTV. I have watched this show from the very beginning and have turned tons of others onto the show. DTV sucks because of the cost and frequent weather outages where I live. BTW, How long until somebody starts recording the episodes on DTV and puts them on youtube or something? I have a feeling we'll still get to have our Passions fix!! Too many loyal and upset fans that will keep Passions available to those of us who can't afford and don't want crappy DTV!!

Kourtney, next month SuperChannel iws going to be launching up here in Canada. it's going to be offered nationally and will contain all of the new episodes of Passions.

I'm glad that they moved Passions. They needed to take it off the air completely. I used to watch it sometimes, and it was undoubtedly the dumbest soap opera ever created. They took forever and a day to reveal anything. They had one man (Alistair), running a whole town of people who just threatened to kill him over and over again. Then you had a witch who looked in a big pot and saw everybody's business, she could do all this magic (like creating a mermaid), but could never do anything to the big bad Alistair Crane. Theresa went after Ethan for years, while Ethan was saying how committed he was to his marriage vows, while all along sleeping with Theresa every chance he got. Whitney was the love of Chad's life, yet he's sneaking around with a man. Then you had the whole Miguel-Kay-Fox scenario, which the writers dragged on and on and on and on and on. If anything this show was just a comic relief, if you wanted a good laugh. At least Days Of Our Lives is much closer to reality.

Please bring back passions what are you doing to all of your fans down. Rachel loves passions i been watching passions on the scifi and nbc all the time. I don't have direct tv at all we have cable instead. I like theresa a lot and ethan to sometimes i like gwen when she is not mean to everyone. Good news that you arrest gwen and her mother along side together. So theresa and ethan can be together from now on. I am so happy that theresa and ethan got married finally everybody will be happy for you. All i got to say is bring passions back on cable.
