Warner Bros. Chooses TNT for “300″

300.jpgTNT, for the mere sum of $17 million, will be granted the first opportunity to show the blockbuster Warner Bros. feature film “300″ first on non-pay TV, according to Variety. Of course, the network will have to cut some of the juicer bits from the R-rated flick.

The deal also offers TNT the right to “funnel” the film (after its run on TNT) to other non-premium network or cable channels, allowing the Turner Network to recoup a large portion for profit of their initial investment in the flick.

TNT will be allowed to show “300″ beginning in September 2009, once the movie has competed its 18-month contract run on HBO, the cable premium-pay channel.
