Weekend Is SF & Comedy Festival

This weekend at theaters across the United States and the international movie going community has turned into a SF love in with Michael Bay’s “Transformers” shattering all previous existing records.

After its debut earlier in the week, “Transformers” gained another nearly $68 million so far this weekend adding to its already staggering 5-day figure of over $152 million dollars, making it this year’s truly big box office blockbuster.

The little mouse that could cook in “Ratatoullie” came in second with another $29 million added to its very impressive 1 week showing of $110 million.

Bruce Willis’ “Live Free or Die Hard” for Fox Pictures came in third and is now pushing that $85 million mark, with Robin Williams’ marital bliss comedy showing life at number four with a total of nearly $18 million.

“Evan Almighty” rounds out this weekend’s top 5 grossers by adding another $8+ mil to the tally making its total since debuting last weekend at $78.1 million.
