Emmy Finalists Announced

TV Guide blogger Matt Mitovich has the scoop on the ten finalists for best drama and best comedy at this year’s Emmy awards. The finalists are:
Drama: Boston Legal, Dexter, Friday Night Lights, Grey’s Anatomy, Heroes, House, Lost, Rome, The Sopranoes and 24
Comedy: Desparate Housewives, Entourage, Extras, My Name Is Earl, The Office, Scrubs, 30 Rock, Two and a Half Men, Ugly Betty, Weeds.
So, looks like no love for Battlestar Galactica again this year. Did the Emmy voters even get to see “Exodus, Part 1 and 2″!!?
The final Emmy nominations will be announced on July 19. Between now and then, voters will view submitted episodes for each series. No word yet on which episodes of Heroes, Lost and 24 were submitted, but stay tuned for more.
What about the VFX category? If they aren’t even nominated for the planetfall drop in 3×01 then somebody needs a seriously polite but firm letter!
Not sure about the FX nods….
I’m just annoyed that the series didn’t make the final 10….as it’s easily top three on TV in drama.
