“Re-Entry Synopsis

Sarah (Nicole deBoer) and Johnny take JJ (Connor Price) to hear Vice President Stillson (Sean Patrick Flanery) speak about the new generation of space exploration. When Stillson shakes Johnny’s hand following the presentation, Johnny is hit with a vision of trouble aboard a private space mission. Snapping back to reality, Johnny alerts Stillson, but the vice president publicly dismisses his warning. Meanwhile, Sarah, who is now eight-and-a-half months pregnant, pretends not to notice the nasty glances and whispers by the other parents as they gossip about the ongoing investigation of Walt, and the fact that she and JJ are now living with Johnny. That evening, Stillson arrives at the Smith home with a liaison from Gospace, the company that launched the space mission Johnny saw in his vision. The Vice President reveals that they desperately need Johnny’s psychic abilities because they have lost communication with the astronauts. Can Johnny help avert a monumental disaster — and do it /before/ Sarah goes into labor?

I would also like to know who sings that song. I have been looking for about two hours now, and I can’t find it anywhere. I don’t know why shows don’t list these things in the opening credits.

It wasn’t the season premiere. It was week 3.
But it was a very good episode. I like the change they made with Stillson and the legacy of Walt.

The song I THINK is called: ” HOPE FOR THE BEST, EXPECT THE WORST” from an album of the same name in 2006 by an indie group out of San Francisco called ” The Amateurs”. They have a new Cd out this may 2007, their home page is “www.amtrs.com”. And Agreed it is a good song.- B

The Dead Zone site says it’s a song called Middle of it all by Liz Melendrez but still can’t find anything on or about her. Did find a Liz Melendez but don’t think the sound is the same… Would love to have this CD or song. :::sigh:::

There are two albums sold on Amazon but neither has this song on it, so not sure the answer is correct. It may be a song she never has recorded.

    Back again….

I’m not sure that website is right either. I listened to Liz Melendez website with her music, and she is jazz all the way. All songs have jazz guitar big time, so really not sure she sang on this Dead Zone episode at all.

    Sorry!

I found it! We had the wrong artist singing the song.

    Artist– Irma Thomas
Song— “In The Middle of It All”
    Album– After the Rain

    She can sing the blues!

It is NOT Liz Melendez or Irma Thomas. I am absolutely positive on this. Her name is Debra Lowe. The song is “Middle of it All.” I played in a band with her and we DID THIS SONG in New York City. She has tried to make a solo career and we parted ways. I was very happy to hear the song in the episode and want to get in touch with her. yet I can’t find her and only see other people claiming to have done the song! Why is this network being so wrong and not giving her credit??

  12. Debra Stillman on July 16th, 2007 11:42 pm

The song that begins “So this is life, so this is hurt” is actually my song, Middle of it All. I was just told they got the names mixed up.

I used to be Debra Lowe but got married. It’s Debra Stillman now. ROBERT REYNOLDS, e-mail me at debrastillman@hotmail.com!
