Fiction Reflecting A Possible Reality?

June 22, 2007 by Sam Sloan   || Category: TV News

female-silhouette_125×0.jpgAccording to the Hollywood Reporter, on next season’s hit Fox show “24,” agent Jack Bauer may be reporting to a female President of the United States — leading some to wonder if this fictional show might be a foreshadow of real-life things to come with Hillary Clinton running for the top spot for leader of the free-world.

“24″ is no stranger to groundbreaking ideas. Actor Dennis Haysbert was TV’s first black President. While the idea of a female President is not new to television — it has already been done by shows such as ABC’s “Commander in Chief,” when Geena Davis played the role of President, but this will be the first really successful show with such a huge following taking that leap.
