After 10 history making years of traveling through the wormhole, visiting new worlds, encountering new civilizations, beating overwhelming enemies, the Stargate Command’s number one team, SG-1 will make one final trek through the Stargate this Friday and then bid farewell to television, at least for the foreseeable future.

The series will go out with a bang as humanity inherits all the knowledge of the Asgard. The big question however, is can SG-1 decipher and make sense of that wealth of knowledge in time to stop the Ori? We will find out in the thrilling series finale this Friday, June 22 at 8/7C on the SCI FI Channel.

While the SG-1 Team will be gone from television, thankfully it will not be the last we see of them or General Jack O’Neill. The team is currently on set and location shooting two made for DVD big budget films that will continue the franchise. If the sales for these two DVD’s are really good, we can expect to see even more of the fabled SG-1 team for quite some time to come.
