The last time we saw Sylar, he was lying in a pool of his own blood after being soundly beaten by Peter Petrelli, Hiro and the rest of the “Heroes” on the hit show’s season finale.
At the end of the volume one, we saw that Sylar had escaped and might live to fight again another day.
It looks like that’s what happened.
Zachary Quinto, who plays Sylar, has just signed on to become a series regular for the upcoming second season. No word yet on how or what Sylar will be up to in season two, but we’ll keep our eyes and ears open.
Will says
Awesome! Sylar was probably my favorite character.
Vanamonde says
Well nice to have confirmation that the season finale of Heroes was as dumb as I thought it was.
Maybe next they will check that Sylar is actually dead..
Bronzethumb (from Australia) says
Maybe Sylar becomes a good guy?
…
…
…Nah
RICK BADMAN says
It seems obvious that Sylar couldn’t be killed since he always acquires the abilities of those he touches. Since he touched the cheerleader, he would be able to heal himself. Also, he could have the ability of molecular displacement in which the cells of his body can allow the sword to pass through them without being damaged. An even wilder theory is that he has the ability to shift to other dimensions and can isolate portions of his body to shift so that the sword passed through the hole left behind. It would be a reflex action. I wouldn’t be surprised if he went back in time to go after Hiro to prevent him from getting the sword. The possibilities are endless.
Taylor says
Rick,
Sylar does NOT inherit the powers of those he touches. He takes their brain because his power is being able to see how things work, and he uses the information encoded into the brain to encode whatever gave that person the power into his DNA. If he got the power merely from touching people, he would have no reason to kill them.
