Shrek Asks — Why Stop At Three?

June 6, 2007 by Sam Sloan   || Category: Film

With the overwhelming success of “Shrek the Third” (nearly $260 million U.S. to date) you knew it had to happen. We just didn’t expect an announcement so soon after the release of the third film in the “Shrek” franchise.

In a interview today with Courier Mail Jeffrey Katzenberg, DreamWorks’ animation honcho, gave the release years for a fourth and yes, wait for it — a fifth “Shrek” film.

“The fourth film will come out in 2010 and the fifth in 2013,” said Katzenberg.

Looks like Mike Myers has just added two more flicks to his growing to do list.
