It’s been a long wait, but the delay will soon be over as the USA Network’s SF hit saga “The 4400” is set to return for Season Four in just three weeks.
On Sunday, June 17, 2007 at 9/8C get back into “The 4400” groove and finally decide which side of the controversy you are on — Pro or Anti Promicin — the drug harvested from the offspring of a 4400 couple that is suppose to give 4400 powers to anyone not originally a member of The 4400, but with possible tragic side effects. The cliff-hanger about promicin’s use on the general populace left us hanging at the end of Season Three.
We also have great news for those wanting to be reminded (since the delay between Seasons 3 & 4 was prolonged), and for newbies to the show. There will be a marathon showing of the series so all can get up to speed prior to the June 17th launch. “The 4400” Marathon covering seasons 1, 2 and 3 will air on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28 on the USA Cable Network.
“The 4400” stars Joel Gretsch, Jacqueline McKenzie, Mahershalalhashbaz Ali , Conchita Campbell, Bill Campbell and loads of guest stars like Jeffrey Combs, Summer Glau, Megalyn Echikunwoke and Peter Coyote in pivotal recurring roles.
— About “The 4400” —
“The 4400” follows 4,400 people who are abducted, taken away and then returned to planet Earth. After their return, many of them discover they have superpowers. As the fourth season begins on June 17, the plot follows the development of a drug called Promicin and its ability to give its users superpowers, if it doesn’t kill them first. Three different factions have emerged around the drug: pro, anti- and neutral.
Here are some resources to learn more about Promicin and help in your decision to be pro or anti Promicin:

Are you sure the marathon is this Monday? I see a Law and Order marathon.
Sam says
To Elisa: According to the agency that issued the press release to all press members that was the date. It wouldn’t be the first time an agency got the dates wrong (sometime networks give them the wrong date and time to pass on to the press), but then, if this was a change in USA’s programming schedule the guides may not have caught up with the change. See what your guide says tomorrow. Right now mine also says LA Law Marathon, so we will have to wait and see what happens.
Elisa says
Thanks. I was watching USA Network specifically last night to double check and they’re still saying it’s a L&O Marathon. Let’s hope they do a 4400 Marathon closer to the season premiere date! ๐
Sam says
Elisa, I agree. I too double checked with USA and their online program guide still has LA Law listed for the Memorial Day Marathon. I jumped ahead to every week leading up to The 4400 premiere on June 17th and don’t see the Marathon listed anywhere. I do see individual episodes listed on separate days, but that is what they have been doing all along now for about a month. So, right now, your guess is as good as mine. ๐

I am really looking forward to this show coming back. It’s one of the best shows on television.
Sam says
Looks like you were right Elisa — LA Law it is.

It figures it would not air on a holiday weekend when no one is home, it will air when its closer to the date. Otherwise it makes no sense. I can’t wait for the return of the show either. Last season I had to catch up online watching the shows.
