Viewers in the UK will have to pay twice to see all of “Grindhouse” according to Variety.

The film, which was released as a three-hour, double-feature in the US, will be split into two halves when its run theatrically in the UK later this year. The original plan was to release the film as a double-bill in the UK and Australia, but it appears those plans have changed.

The Weinstein Company is the distributor for the film and announced the plans.

The Qunentin Tarantino “Death Proof” portion of the film hits theaters in the UK on Sept. 21. No release date for “Planet Terror” has been set.

Besides the fact that you have to pay twice to see the entire thing, doesn’t it kind of ruin the “experience” of watching the entire “Grindhouse” movie? That is, “Planet Terror”, “Death Proof”, and all the fake trailers and advertisements.

It will completely ruin the experience. The films were ok. But it was the experience that really made Grindhouse great.
