anthony_hopkins.jpeOscar winner Sir Anthony Hopkins says he’s interested in being a daddy — the daddy of the Wolfman that is.

Hopkins recently expressed a desire to play the father of Benecio Del Toro’s character in the upcoming Universal re-make of “The Wolfman.”

“There’s also a chance I may play the Wolfman in London in a movie with Benicio Del Toro,” said Hopkins. “He said he just wants to make sure that the deal is all in but I play the Wolfman’s father (Sir John Talbot) in Paris. A wonderful part.”

Hopkins’ agent is high on the script and pushing for the former Hannibal Lecter actor to take on the role. Hopkins says while he hasn’t read the entire script yet, the reports from his agent have make him eager to take on the role.

“The Wolfman” is a remake of the 1941 Universal horror classic starring Claude Raines, Bela Lugosi and Lon Chaney, Jr.
