Director/producer/writer Martin Wood loves science fiction and the body of his creative work proves it. Not only is he heavily involved with co-writing the new and greatly anticipated online series “Sanctuary,” starring Amanda Tapping, he has also directed more than 100 episodes of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis combined. His creative fingerprints can be found on such series as “Andromeda,” “Earth: The Final Conflict” and the critically acclaimed series “Jeremiah.”
Following in the footsteps of other great directors like Hitchcock, Tarantino and Scorcese, Wood has even stepped in front of the camera for shows and features he is helming, for example — playing a director on the “Stargate SG-1″ parody episode ‘Wormhole X-Treme.”
Some of the other shows and programs on Wood’s resume include the popular, but short-lived, “The Invisible Man,” the movie “Teenage Space Vampires” and the highly respected documentary “SIDS: A Special Report,” hosted by Emmy Award winning journalist Linda McLennan.
