Clarion West Benefits From 1st Annual Genre Traveler Photo Contest
For two weeks, March 15-31, readers and visitors of The Genre Traveler were invited to choose from five charities. The winner will receive 15% of funds raised through The 1st Annual Genre Traveler Photo Contest, which is accepting entries through May 31, 2007.
60% of the votes went to Clarion West, a nonprofit literary organization that provides a high quality educational opportunity for writers of speculative fiction at the start of their careers.
“Clarion West has launched the careers of many important figures in speculative fiction,†said C.S. Pothitt, publisher and editor of The Genre Traveler. “I’m happy that my little photo contest will be able to help others in the field, as well.â€
