In a followup to a story done on our 100th show, we have learned that actor Mark Wahlberg will be starring in the lead male role for “The Happening,” a SF thriller that M. Night Shyamalan is set to direct. Shooting on the movie begins on location this August in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (USA).
As we reported on March 14, this will be Shyamalan’s first ever R-rated film.
The famous director has stated that he would like to make “The Happening” with the darkness of a “Silence of the Lamb” and the cinematic beauty of “Pan’s Labyrinth.”
Wahlberg will play a man who takes his family on the run when the world turns upside and a cataclysmic natural crisis threatens to end the world.
