Butler Arrested on DUI Charges
It looks like actress Yancy Butler is still dealing with her past demons. The star of the 2000 TV hit SF series “Witchblade” was charged on Tuesday with driving under the influence after plowing her Saab 900 into a highway guard rail.
Butler, only 36, who has battled with drug and alcohol addiction for several years, was ordered to appear in Bantam Superior Court on March 26th and then released on a $500 bond.
It was just last month that Butler got into a public argument with her boyfriend and was charged with disorderly conduct by police.
Seriously, how is this important news to a SciFi geek? Why not leave the tabloid news to the tabloid sites.

You’d be surprised what’s important to a “scifi geek.” And, like it or not, when you are a star in Hollywood and, a SF one at that, whatever you do gets put under the microscope.
Besides, you have to learn the difference between reporting real news and what is commonly mis-called tabloid news.
Those supermarket rag sheets are “yellow journalism” because they will make up or blow a story way out of proportion just to sell papers. Journalism is simply reporting the truth and acutal events or happenings and on the lives of famous people.
Doing a story about Yancy, or any other celeb, when its 100% true, is not tabloid my friend, that is just plain journalism.
(the correct definition of tabloid news is nothing more than a short concise news article that quickly gets to the point).
Even though she doesn’t have star power, it would be great to see Karen Allen back as Marion for Indy 4. Most fans agree that she was the best of Indy’s love interests.
I’ve been a fan of Yancy since her Mann and Machine days. Sad, but I welcome any news about her.
