NBC Universal has signed a deal with mobile media company MobiTV to bring some of their most popular shows to a cell phone near year, according to a report in Variety.
For $1.99 per episode, fans can download episodes of such popular shows as “Battlestar Galactica”, “Heroes” and “The Office.” The shows are available to users for a 24-hour period after purchase.
MobiTV will also feature several ad-support channels with short-videos and full-length shows from other NBC Universal outlets like USA, Bravo and SciFi.
In order to take advantage of the service, cell phone users must pay a ten dollar a month subscription fee for MobiTV.
MobiTV is availalbe as an option on most popular cellular services.
