Tarantino’s Grindhouse Partaaaaaay!
Director Quentin Tarantino has teamed up with the New Beverly Cinema in order to throw a huge bash called The Los Angeles Grindhouse Festival 2007.
The big party is being thrown to showcase Tarantino and Robert Rodriquez’s new slasher/horror film “Grindhouse” and will be set off by the showing of over 50 of Tarantino’s most popular exploitation films that will come from his own personal film library. The movies will include many feature films from the 1970’s and 1980’s, uncensored and uncut, theme nights such as Sexploitation Night, Kung-Fu Night, Blaxoitation and typical slash and burn cult classics from that era.
The festival begins this Sunday and will run until April 30th, which just so happens to be the scheduled release month of “Grindhouse.” The film has its theatrical debut on April 6th.
The big downer? Quentin has no plans on taking his party on a road trip so the only way you can be a player is be in LA between March 4th and April 30th.
