Los Angeles (Hollywood Reporter) — Now that Lucy Lawless’ “Battlestar Galactica” Cylon model has been put on permanent ice in the equivalent of a Cylon Fridgidaire, the actress also known as “Xena: Warrior Princess,” has moved on to a non-SF genre lead role in the new ABC drama pilot “Football Wives,” a take-off of the popular BBC series “Footballer’s Wives.”
That will teach her to gaze upon the likeness of the Final Five. Her punishment: A slot on another British-to-American TV rip-off that will probably be loved by millions — poor Lucy!
Lawless will play a woman married to a professional football player who tries very hard to be sophisticated but just can’t escape her sexy image, no matter how hard she tries.

It's not a BBC series, It was a ITV series. BBC would not make is Crap.
Since it is seen on BBC America I just assumed it was a BBC origination. Never watched it myself, and don't plan on watching this Americanized version either, even if Lucy is in it.
I'm with you there Sam. She's hot but she's not that hot.
I must be missing something. I've seen several mentions of Number 3's retirement being "permanent," but my read on that scene was that "cold storage" was very much a reversible process. I can easily imagine someone in a not-very-distant episode mentioning, "You know, I wonder if she saw something?"
It's Sci Fi permanent, which like SF death is anything but.
she survived being typecast so hopefully this to will pass
Lucy Lawless deserves to be in more exceptional roles, not this kind of crap.
