Good News for “Lost” Fans

February 9, 2007 by Sam Sloan   || Category: TV News

ABC’s “Lost” returned from its mid-season hiatus to its new Wednesday night timeslot (10PM ET) and cleaned the clock of its competition on NBC and CBS.

According to the Nielsen readings “Lost,” while still down against its own past numbers (6.4/15 in 18-49 with 14.49 million viewers), still mopped the floor against CBS’s “CSI: Miami” and NBC’s supernatural sleeper hit “Medium.”

ABC is committed to seeing the show about the island stranded plane crash survivors continue for at least five seasons before rescuing them from the clutches of the Others, and if it can sustain those kinds of numbers against its two major competitors for the rest of the season it stands a good chance of making it back to the mainland in one piece.

I thought the episode was excellent. Action, drama, villianous sneers abounded, plus a small revelation or two that, like always, prompts more questions.
