Casting “The Horsemen”

dennis_quaid.jpgzhang_ziyi_150.jpgclifton-collins-jr.jpgActor Dennis Quaid, Clifton Collins, Jr. (Capote, Babel) and Ziyi Zhang (Memoirs of a Geisha) have been cast for the Mandate Pictures production of the SF thriller called “The Horsemen.”

Quaid will play a bitter detective named Breslin who is grieving over his wife’s recent death. While investigating a case, he discovers a shocking connection between himself and the prime suspects in a serial killing spree linked to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

The film will be directed by Jonas Ã…kerlund (Madonna: The Confessions Tour Live from London) from a script penned by Dave Callaham (Doom).

Zhang will also be making a voice appearance in the new “TMNT” movie and Quaid will be busy over the next 2 years shooting a total of five new films including “Vantage Point” with Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe winner Forest Whitaker. “Vantage Point” is a gripping thriller about an assassination attempt on a U.S. President as told from the perspective of five different people, and will co-star Sigourney Weaver and “Lost” actor Matthew Fox.

Look for “The Horsemen,” “TMNT” and “Vantage Point” all to be released in 2007.
