Pan’s Labyrinth was a lot more brutal than I was expecting. I’m not actually sure that “cool” would at all apply.

Can we comment on the show here? Being in the UK, calling the voicemail show is difficult.
I just wanted to comment briefly on the PC gaming thing. I’m not sure I know what you mean when you ask why the PC hasn’t beaten the consoles at gaming.
For sheer gaming power, a high-end PC can beat a console, if you can afford the hardware. In terms of games, many games come out on PC as well as one or more of the consoles. The main thing that PC gaming can’t do as well as the consoles is the whole playing-games-in-the-living-room thing, since you generally need a desk for a PC and it’s no fun stood over someone’s shoulder watching them play on the PC.

Two comments on #94:
– “Series 7: The Contenders” and the Assassination Game both have their origins in a short story by Robert Sheckley titled “The Seventh Victim”.
I’ve been reading a Sheckley collection in prep for Potlatch (www.potlatch-sf.org), where he will be the Book of Honor. I’d highly recommend his work.
– WRT “Heroes”, the current rumor is that Linderman will be played by Malcolm McDowell. Of course, this would mean that Linderman is not one of the current characters (which I’ve always assumed as well).
