If you can forgive me the pun…to loose Hubble would be not only inexcusable, but an astronomical loss to science that would be monumental in scope.

It's Monday and that means it's time for some news, trivia and a con report! On today's installment, Joss Whedon thanks fans for the record-breaking opening to The Avengers, we've got a summer book recommendation and we wonder if the Hulk was pulled over in Connecticut. (Hulk speed!)
Think you know the tag line to summer blockbusters? Kurt's here to test that with our latest trivia segment.

These are great, Sam, but, can you link these thumbnails to high-res versions of the photos? Would love to put some as my wallpaper!
I don't get the point though. Is the Hubble telescope in danger of not being repaired/moved in orbit? If so, is there a link to some group or organization that is trying to save it?
I though NASA was using the last flight of the Atlantis to repair Hubble.
Am I wrong?
Philip
those pics are amazing... its fantastic what we see out there.
NASA is has set aside financing for repair of the Hubble for at least one more space-walk-repair endeavor, or until the conclusion of the Space Shuttle program, whichever comes first. After that, only the gods of Senatorial financing know for sure.
