Joe R. Lansdale has been named the winner of the Grand Master award at this year’s World Horror Convention.
The Texas-born creator of “Bubba Ho-Tep” follows in the illustrious footsteps of Stephen King, Harlan Ellison, Ray Bradbury and Clive Barker.
Lansdale will collect his prize at the convention, which takes place in Toronto from 29 March-1 April. The four-day event will also host the presentation of the Horror Writers Association’s Bram Stoker Awards.
