Two CW Staples Rate Impressive Numbers

January 19, 2007 by Sam Sloan   || Category: TV News

I know we don’t talk a lot about “Smallville” and “Supernatural” here or on our show — not sure why I haven’t written much on those — but, TV Guide just released some very impressive ratings numbers for both shows that warrant a mention.

  • Talk about your superlatives: Smallville introduced the Justice League to an audience of 5.25 million total viewers, representing a season high.
  • Supernatural, at 3.38 million viewers, did its best numbers since October 26, 2006.
  • Props to both shows for keeping that SF hope alive.

I want a Justice League show. Mostly, I want a Green Arrow show, but Justin having sidekicks is acceptable.

Thank god there was no “Super Friends” joke in that episode!

I agree that there could easily be a spin-off with Green Arrow, especially since the Aquaman thing didn’t pan out.

Aquaman is also kinda lame. (Although Justin lacking a shirt for almost the entire episode was nothing to complain about.)

My Dad suggested that Aquaman was a lot neater in and of himself when boats were the way most people travelled. So having someone be king of the seas was really cool. He could sink Nazi ships and whatnot.

I guess now you’d need someone that was master of air and could thwack jets from the sky. But the fact that almost all heroes can fly for no reason at all probably would rain on such a hero’s parade.

My brother and I watched an old Aquaman cartoon the other day. He kept calling his sidekick by different names. “Aqualad”, “Minnow”, “Tadpole”. It was really strange.
