It looks like the Matrix Trilogy and all the current Harry Potter films will find their way on HD DVD in 2007, according to Warner’s Home Video division. The film company also plans on releasing the Elijah Wood/Robin Williams hit CGI film “Happy Feet” on the HD format later this year.
Warner is in the forefront of film companies moving to the HD and competing Blu Ray Disc format. After the monumental success in DVD-HD of “The Forbidden Planet Ultimate Collector’s Edition HD”, they went on to add “Superman Returns” to that growing list.
The Matrix and Harry Potter films are only the first in a long line of titles that Warner Home Video is promising for release on the DVD HD format throughout 2007, including around 50 other films like “Batman Begins”, “Constantine” and Tim Burton’s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”.
