Final Potter Book Given Title

jkrowling2.jpeJ.K. Rowling, the famed author of the entire Harry Potter series of books has released the title for her final edition to the series. It will be called “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.” The question is…will Rowling and publisher opt for a 07/07/07 shelf-release date for the novel? The good news is Borders Books are already taking orders. It is expected that both Amazon and Barnes and Noble will quickly follow suit.

From that title alone one might surmise it may not necessarily end well for one or more of the characters Rowling has memorialized for posterity.

There have been six books so far in the series, all have been turned into major huge box-office drawing motion pictures. The fifth book “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” is currently set for a July 13, 2007 film release worldwide and the sixth, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” is currently in pre-production for a 2008 theatrical release.

To-date, the first four Potter movies have grossed a combined $1.1 billion in the U.S. and $3.5 billion worldwide, according to figures from Box Office Mojo, a movie industry research firm. The books alone have turned Rowling into a billionairess.
