Or how’s this…Baltar is the “Imperial Leader”, unknown to the Cylons. Perhaps they believe that figure to be the “face of God himself”, while in the legends of the 13th Colony, he was the figure revered by the Five in the Temple…
What? Baltar already thinks he’s god-like, why not feed the ego a little more?
I like the idea of Baltar unknowingly being either a Cylon or the “Imperious Leader” I really don’t think either is the case. If Baltar were a Cylon that part of him surely would have been activated while “governing” on New Caprica.
Baltar is a worm and as time goes on we shall see how the worm turns.
