MGM Sending a Signal?

October 5, 2006 by Sam Sloan   || Category: News

Here is some extremely welcome news: MGM has started a Stargate SG1 exclusive and official website.

      gatesite

This suggests that the parent studio of the longest running US SciFi franchise is still very serious about this longtime fan favorite and is starting to put their game-face on in regards to following up on the promise to not let the series go off quietly into the night.

This new site offers a podcast dedicated to the 10 seasons of the show, exclusive interviews with all the stars and guest stars that have been on the show over the last decade, as well as images and individual profiles for every episode shown for each of the 10 seasons.

The site also makes available for purchase DVD’s and has set up its own forum for fans to come onboard and talk all they want about the Gate.

After registering you can build your own profile using images and avatars from the show, take a look at some cool “Behind-the-Scenes” stuff and keep up with all that MGM is doing to keep Stargate SG1 alive and well.

The SCI FI Channel may be saying goodbye to Stargate SG1 at the conclusion of Season 10, but it is really beginning to look like MGM knows a winner when it sees it and will be sticking behind its champion and, hopefully, will provide more to come.

Has anyone figured out how to subscribe to MGM’s podcast? I get to the podcast page but don’t see anything that looks like a link I can subscribe to.

    Thanks!

I too, cannot subscribe to the podcast. The site states that it is in beta mode. Perhaps there are no feeds….
