We are just two weeks into the new network programming season and the nail-biters are already worried. Comon’ people, two weeks!
This past week the big three programs network viewers were watching were Charlie Sheen’s “Two and a Half Men” with an impressive 16 million watching the highest paid sitcom star on television, “Old Christine,” starring Julie Louis Dreyfus, who can now lay claim to the only star of “Seinfeld” to garner a hit show also led with 13.7 million folks watching her and Star Trek: Enterprise’s Scott Bakula make funny together, and finally the one we are all interested in with a strong 3rd place showing is NBC’s “Heroes” which garnered 12.6 million watchers, although it was down by 1.5 mil from its pilot debut. Its saving grace? It owns the 18-to-49 age-group so look for it to hang around all season. The top 5 were rounded out with, get ready for it…the premiere of “The Bachelor: Rome,” averaging 8.95 million and the engaging drama “Vanished,” which will return after its 3-week break for Major League Baseball.
