Strathairn Takes On Spiderwick

Academy Award nominee David Strathairn (Good Night and Good Luck), has just signed on to lead the Paramount Pictures/Nickelodeon Movies adaptation of “The Spiderwick Chronicles”.”

Directed by Mark Waters (Mean Girls), “Spiderwick” is about three siblings who move to their great uncle’s mansion where they find a magical book which opens up a whole new mystical and fantastical world of adventure for them.

Look for it sometime in 2008.

Also look for Strathairn in “We Are Marshalls” and the third film in the “Bourne” franchise, “Bourne Ultimatum” starring Matt Damon reprising his role as Jason Bourne.
