Look for the new “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” series, not on your television set or big-screen theater, but on a comic book stand near you by March 2007.
Georges Jeanty has been commissioned to draw the famous heroine in fine toon fashion according to Dark Horse Comics.
The opener will be a 4-parter with a story arc encompassing the first part of the strip and will chronicle characters and events from the popular Buffy television series. The storyline will take over where the show left off giving it a feel of continuity.
Buffy creator Joss Whedon will be writing along with the artwork done by Georges Jeanty. “…..Joss wanted me for the book,” Jeanty told the Continuum in a recent interview. “I really couldn’t believe it until I got an e-mail from Joss, saying he liked my work. He’s a comics guy and mentioned he liked my stuff on Bishop.”
