According to The Hollywood Reporter, the comic book tale about WWII soldiers on missions to fight supernatural powers is under serious consideration for a big screen treatment. The tabloid says that Rogue Pictures has obtained the rights to film the comic serial.
“Lost Squad” is about a detachment of US soldiers that have become America’s last defence in combating the occult, supernatural beasts and monsters conjured up by Hitler’s weirdos in the Third Reich.
The comic serial written by Chris Kirby, with art work by Alan Robinson, while not as well known as that other Hilter era hero, “Hellboy,” was still popular enough to capture Rogue Pictures exec’s attention, who found it an attractive enough storyline worthy of a screenplay and their investment dollars.
There is no word yet, if and when the project will actually make production, or whether it will be live-action or animation. Stay tuned.
