Director Quentin Tarantino has gotten him a blockbuster cast of characters for his addition to his partnership with Robert Rodriguez in the production of the anthology flick “Grind House.” Look for Kurt Russell (Stargate, Executive Decision), Zoe Bell (Kill Bill), Rosario Dawson (Sin City), to headline in Tarantino’s offering titled “Death Proof.” The film will co-star Vanessa Ferlito, Jordan Ladd, Rose McGowan and Sydney Tamiia Poitier.
Rodriguez’s “Planet Terror” has put together an eclectic group of actors that includes Freddy Rodriguez (Poseidon) Rose McGowan (Charmed), Josh Brolin (Hollow Man), Michael Biehn (Terminator, Alien) and Naveen Andrews (LOST). It will co-star Marley Shelton, Stacy Ferguson, Jeff Fahey and a real fan favorite, Michael Parks (Kill Bill, From Dusk Till Dawn).
Grind House will pay homage to the typical horror and slasher films of the 1970′s and 80′s, but in the hands of two geniuses like Tarantino and Rodriguez may prove to be an exciting film viewing experience. Look for the pic in theatres on April 6, 2007.
