Aurora Set To Stun!

Star Trek: Aurora is a new animated Trek fan film written, directed and animated by Tim Vining that has sprung out of nowhere! The background and ship graphics, the way [that the] animation of the figures [is done] - this is great virtual cinematography! The storyline is novel and engaging (sort of Firefly Trek!), which is character driven and atmospheric, real drama without being maudlin.
This is awesome! It could be one of the surprise hits of the year, although as the creator points out…
“Note that Star Trek: Aurora is a work in progress. New portions of the story will come out as they are completed, so make sure to check back on occasion to see if I’ve gotten more done (though, patience is required: I’m doing this pretty much on my own!)”
“Set in 2270, between the end of the original Series and the start of the first movie, It shows the perils of trading in the Star Trek universe …”
“The inspiration for following the exploits of interstellar merchanters rather than Starfleet characters (who will appear in later portions of this work) comes from the many civilians that Kirk’s Enterprise encountered in the original series …”

Just watched this, probably the best fan star trek I have seen - ever.
Wow. I await the next episodes with GREAT anticipation.
Nice, takes inspiration from CJ Cherryh…I love those Chanur saga and Alliance/Untion novels…
When can we expect to hear about this effort receiving help via funds, new episodes, ?
I was pleasantly surprised with how tim used time to cement a point. Too often the art of film making is dumbed down to the lowest common viewer. Resulting in rapidly delivered drivel. This was thoughful not to rushed but enough to keep us intrigued.
