The Illusionist
With the launch of the official website for THE ILLUSIONIST, visitors are offered a first glance into the romantic and mysterious world of this summer’s most magical protagonist.
The film stars Academy Award® nominee Edward Norton as Eisenheim The Illusionist, a enigmatic conjuror who quickly becomes an awe-inspiring crowd favorite in turn-of-the-century Vienna. When Eisenheim reunites with his childhood sweetheart Sopie(Jessica Biel), he invokes the suspicion and anger of an empire, spearheaded by Academy Award® Nominee Paul Giamatti.
Rufus Sewell co-stars in the film written and directed by Neil Burger and is based on the short story “Eisenheim The Illusionist” by Steven Millhauser.
THE ILLUSIONIST will be released on August 18, 2006.
