Director Jon Favreau, Marvel and Paramount have announced that Iron Man is set-up for a May 2, 2008, opening date. Favreau earlier mentioned the date his Iron Man MySpace.com site.
Iron Man will be the first indie film produced by the team of ex-Marvel CEO Avi Arad and Marvel Entertainment. Arad resigned his post at Marvel to form his own Avi Arad Productions company.
