"Kung Fu" Kicking In the Big Screen

carradine.jpgI was wondering what has taken Hollywood so long to come around to bringing the 1970′s hit TV show “Kung Fu” to the big screen, and now they are finally getting around to it.

The television program starred David Carradine as a Shaolin monk named Kwai Chang Caine who fled China to the wild wild West of the United States in the 1800′s. Along his many journeys across the vast frontier he came to the aid of those in need of protection from those who would do them harm.

Legendary Films, a division of Warner Bros. has opted the film and is looking to the original series creator Ed Spielman and writer Howard Friedlander to write the screenplay.

Since this project has just been announced there is no official word if Carradine will play a role in its development.
