Cool show. Good interview. Yeah, it’s a real toss up of who I would want to win.

I watched Mammoth and thought it good because it was campy without being too silly, and loaded with geek references. And Summer Glau is that damn cute. I’ll be getting the dvd.

Of course tv execs did manage to piss me off because they canned the very cool show Heist, which had the very hot Marika Domincyzk.

The Eye (Renee Zellweger vechicle) is based on a feature length movie “Gin gwai” which was really good, but I don’t think it had anything to do with the short that Mike and Evo spoke of.

once again, Hollywood’s got no new ideas.

(is it just my incompetence, or do you not archive the voicemail shows for Slice? ’cause, yes, I’m behind on my listening)

Just a note–yes, C.S. Lewis & JFK died on the same day and so did Aldous Huxley. Also, it’s more than a story–he was an atheist, who became a deist and then a Christian, as chronicled in his autobiography Surprised by Joy. And Tolkien (a Catholic) may have had some influence, as well as some of the other members of the writing group of which they were a part: the Inklings. Speaking of Inklings members, if you are a fantasy fan, you might try broadening your palate with Charles Williams’ novels–Tim Powers identifies Williams as an influence on his work. (okay, I’ll stop the six degrees of separation now)
