Cast Set for “Next” P.K. Dick Novel to Movie
P.K. Dick’s novel “The Golden Man” is coming to the big screen under the title of “Next”. It will star Nicolas Cage as a man who can not only see the future but altar its course as well.
Cage falls in love with a woman (Jessica Biel) who has been abducted by terrorists. He has to save her and at the same time stay out of the hands of the FBI and others who want to use him and his ability to manipulate events to their advantage, both for good and bad.
Julianne Moore has signed on to play the FBI agent in hot pursuit of Cage’s character. The film is being directed by Lee Tamahori (Die Another Day) and comes from an adapted screenplay by Gary Goldman (Titan A.E.).
Shooting begins in March 2006 for a release date sometime in 2007.
