Koenig and Mad Cow

January 26, 2006 by Sam Sloan   || Category: Film

STAR TREK’s Walter Koenig is starring in “Mad Cowgirl,” an independent film that has broken the trend of low-budget fair.

Mad Cowgirl is an experimental-art-comedy-horror-tragedy-Kung Fu epic. You can’t get any more campier or stranger than that. In the pic a woman who works for the LA Health Department investigates an outbreak of mad cow disease. She becomes infected and descends into a violent rage, killing any man in her path for the ill-treatment she has received from all the men in her life.

Koenig, in a role he surely must have relished, plays a real slime-ball as a grossly sex-addicted man of the cloth. You gotta love Walter’s sense of humor.

Koenig will appear at the movie’s San Francisco premiere at the city’s Independent Film Festival held on February 4, 2006 9:30PM PT at the Roxie Cinema House. A word of caution: This is not a family movie as it does depict graphic violence and some brief hard-core sex scenes.

I’d say this sounds just sick & wrong, but coming from me that’d be a compliment. Go, Walter, go!
