According to Variety, the WB’s long search for an actor to portray superhero Aquaman is over.
The network has decided on relative newcomer and teen heart-throb Will Toale (Uptown Girls, Tempting Adam) to put on the wet suit.
After a worldwide search that included auditions from the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and Australia, Toale, a Florida native was chosen over a reported 400 top contenders.
Shooting begins in May 2006 in Toale’s backyard of Miami, Florida and will make its small screen debut as The WB’s newest headline show next fall.
