The Nicolas Cage vehicle “Ghost Rider” has lost its coveted Summer 2006 release slot.
Sony Pictures’ reason for bumping Rider was to allow for an unfettered release of its highly anticipated “The DaVinci Code” starring multi-oscar winner Tom Hanks.
“Ghost Rider” will now go to theaters on February 16, 2007, which studio heads see as a plus because it will give Sony/Columbia Pictures a blockbuster big-name lead actor film to start off 2007.
