Philip K. Dick’s short story “The Golden Man” is being turned into a big screen feature entitled “NEXT.” It will star Nicholas Cage and Julianne Moore. Cage will also serve as one of the film’s producers.
Cage is Chris Johnson, a man with the uncanny ability to, not only visualize future events, but can also affect the outcome of those events. He must evade capture from government agents. Moore plays one of those agents, Callie Ferris, who tries to track him down and prevent a terroristic event.
Originally concepted in 2004, it was placed temporarily on the back lot. Now that it has a full go look for it in theaters sometime in 2007.
