Listed are the top ten news stories for the week ending July 02, 2005 in a News Flash

Story #1

Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones will star as Johnny Depp’s father in the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean sequel.

Story #2

David Goyer has signed on to direct the supernatural thriller “The Invisible.”

Story #3

Ms. Alias and Elektra, Jennifer Garner is producing and starring in the remake of the 2004 Japanese blockbuster “Be With You.”

Story #4

Paramount Classics and MTV Films have joined forces to bring the psychological thriller “Beneath” to the big screen.

Story #5

Shooting has already begun on yet another Destination sequel, “Final Destination 3.”

Story #6

According to Peter Jackson, his big furry King Kong stands 25 feet tall and is about 150 years old with a snaggletooth, which the big gorilla got after an ancient battle with another mega-beast in a rumble in the jungle.

Story #7

Peta Wilson of La Femme Nikita will be in the new Bryan Singer film “Superman Returns.”

Story #8

Disney is working with Dolby on a 3-D digital projection system. The technology is due to premiere in about 100 screens in 25 major cities on November 14, 2005. It is being tagged “Disney Digital 3-D” or DD3D. The first film to be seen in DD3D is the computer animated “Chicken Little.” Lucasfilms Industrial Light and Magic have come onboard to produce the digital rendering for the feature.

“The DaVinci Code,” a Ron Howard Film, based on the bestselling novel has begun shooting at the Lovre museum in Paris France. The movie stars Tom Hanks, Jean Reno and Audrey Tautou.

Paramont confirms that the uncensored version of the Enterprise episode “Harbinger” will be on the DVD release – Star Trek: Enterprise – The Complete Third Season.

Uncut, and uncensored the scenes with Trip and T’Pol are sure to turn up the heat in everyone’s TV room. Look for it on the shelves by September 20, 2005.
